If your vehicle is stolen or declared a total loss, Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) Plus can help cover the difference between your insurance settlement and the remaining eligible loan balance. It also includes a $1,000 contribution toward the principal of a replacement vehicle financed through USSFCU.

Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) is not intended to replace automobile insurance. It does not provide bodily injury, property damage, liability, or collision insurance and does not comply with any financial responsibility or other law mandating motor vehicle insurance. All new or used motor vehicles with a maximum loan of $100,000 are eligible. Benefit coverage limits are up to $50,000 with a loan term of up to 84 months. Recreational Vehicles (RVs), including motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATVs, motor homes, classic cars, golf carts, watercraft (i.e., boats or jet skis), or similar vehicles, are subject to a different policy rate, and other limits apply. GAP Plus Option: The replacement vehicle must be financed within 90 days of the date your primary insurance company pays the claim on a total loss.
