Optional protection against costly vehicle repairs

As your vehicle gets older, the chance of unexpected breakdowns increases—and so do the repair costs. Mechanical Repair Coverage (MRC) helps cover the cost of parts and labor for many common (and expensive) vehicle repairs, giving you peace of mind long after your manufacturer’s warranty ends.

  • Nationwide Coverage - Use any authorized repair facility in the continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada.
  • Direct Payment to Repair Shops - No upfront cost for covered repairs (just your deductible, if applicable).
  • Rental Reimbursement - Up to $50/day (10-day max) while your vehicle is in the shop.
    (Limited to $35/day in CA, 5-day max unless parts are delayed)
  • 24/7 Emergency Roadside Assistance - Includes towing, battery jumpstarts, fluid delivery, flat tire help, lock-out service, and more—up to $125 per event.
  • Travel Expense Reimbursement - If your breakdown occurs 100+ miles from home and your vehicle is held overnight, you’ll be reimbursed up to $200/day (5-day max) for lodging, meals, and transportation.

    • Key fob replacement (up to $800 per occurrence)
    • Paintless dent repair
    • Coverage for ride-sharing and select commercial use

What’s Typically Covered?

Depending on the plan you choose—Silver, Gold, or Platinum—MRC may include repairs for:

  • Engine and transmission systems
  • Electrical and hybrid components
  • Brakes, steering, suspension, and A/C
  • High-tech features like GPS, blind spot sensors, lane departure alerts, and more
  • Power windows, locks, heated seats, backup cameras, and infotainment systems
